It’s been a while since I went to Shinzo but the overall standards of food and service remain consistently high!
Chefs Patrick and Daniel kindly prepared a lovely lunch for Elaine and I today! And our lovely Shinzo ladies were always attentive on hand to explain our dishes, top up the tea and sake cups.
Today’s lunch was a re-acquaintance with chefs’ special outstanding Wagyu beef and creamy sweet uni donburi, uni chawanmushi and very fresh sashimi platter to kick off. Finished with an interesting seaweed egg miso soup with very rich umami in a pretty plate of desserts trio – peach sorbet, Shochu jelly and Kyoto’s custard red bean mochi . Most satisfying meal .. esp when Chefs Patrick and Daniel personalised this meal for us – all my usual favourite dishes from past years of dining at Shinzo!
